Teacher Website
My teacher website is a resource that I created, using google sites, in order to create an online community for my classes in the future. On my teacher website, I have an abundance of resources available for parents and students. Some examples are a calendar that keeps my students updated with assignments and field trips, instructional videos for lessons, and a symbaloo webmix that is a collection of resources for teachers and students. I believe that my teacher website accurately represents my teaching style, as well as my hopes and beliefs as a future teacher.

Instructional Video
This is my instructional video! This video was created based off of the following standard: S:LS1:2:1.1- Differentiate between living and nonliving things; and categorize objects in each group using the significant observable characteristics they share, such as color, shape and size and S:LS1:2:1.2- Recognize plants and animals as living things and describe how they are alike and different. I created this video for my W200 class at Indiana University. I believe that this resource is an effective and engaging way to teach kids using a digital platform. I hope to use instructional videos in my future classroom!

Resource for Engaged and Effective Learning
In this video, I review the website, ABCYA.com. I evaluate this website based off of the four E's: engaging, effective, enhancing, and efficient. Ultimately, I found that the website is a resource for engaged and effective learning. As a future teacher, I will have to evaluate many resources in order to decide what to use in my classroom and what will best fit my students in my class.

Symbaloo Webmix
My symbaloo webmix is a collection of resources and tools that I will use in my future classroom. This varies from educational game websites to digital assessment tools. This is a valuable tool that I will use in my classroom because it is accessible to both parents and students. It will help students continue learning outside of the classroom because they will be able to access the sites and tools we use in class.

Hour of Code
This is my certificate for completing an hour of coding. The Hour of Code is a movement to introduce coding to students of all ages. As a part of my W200 course, we had to code for an hour, using one of the games related to our intended age group. By completing the hour of coding, I've learned how important it is to introduce this topic to my students. In this day and age, an age where the world is at our fingertips because of technology, it is so important to introduce skills such as coding, to students. I encourage all youth-serving professionals to experience the hour of code themselves and understand its importance.

Padlet
This padlet was created for my service learning project. As one of my artifacts for my assigned teacher, I created a padlet board for her to use in order to share her students' art projects. Padlet is a great tool that inspires student learning and creativity because it makes them proud of the work they completed and promotes being a hard-worker and creative. It also engages parents and students under a virtual environment where all their projects are shared.

Thinglink
This technology resource was created with Thinglink. Thinglink allows you to create an interactive image with videos, articles, and outside sources. For example, in the thinglink I created above, I made an interactive image that features articles, videos, and podcasts about the advantages of a multimedia classroom. Thinglink will be a valuable resource for students because I can use it as an introduction to topics and will be available for students to access. As a result, thinglink helps to enhance one's learning of topics and is an effective introductory tool and resource for students for topics and lessons.

Concept Map
This is a concept map that I will use to teach my students an English lesson based off of a state standard. This standard states that students must be able to identify characters, settings, and major events in a story. To satisfy this standard, I will have my students create concept maps based off of the book we are reading. In this example, I used The Berenstain Bears go to School. Concept maps are great tools to use because it is appealing to many learners. It provides a visual aspect, as well as a written and reading aspect. Concept maps are a great resource for students even after they learn the topic because it will be easily available and understandable as review for the students!

EDpuzzle
In this example, I used EDpuzzle in order to add interactive assessment tools to an instructional video I made about living vs. non-living things and how to further sort them into sub-categories. The standard I chose was: S:LS1:2:1.1 Differentiate between living and nonliving things; and categorize objects in each group using the significant observable characteristics they share, such as color, shape and size. And, S:LS1:2:1.2 Recognize plants and animals as living things and describe how they are alike and different. EDpuzzle is a great assessment tool because it allows teachers to see which students do not understand the topic by observing which students got questions wrong or right. It will also help students gauge how well they know the topic and what they need to improve on.

Smore
Smore is a website that allows you to create interactive flyers. In my classroom, I'd use Smore to create newsletters for my parents and students on my teacher website. In this example, I did a field trip flyer. I am using digital technology to communicate with students and parents.
